I have to come back after four years of owning this to review this item. We have 10 dogs and have gone through many dog beds, elevated and not. This bed by far superseded my expectations in every way. It literally still looks brand new and it’s been used outside at our camper for all these years. Yes we do put it inside the shed there when the weekends are over so it’s not always in the elements but all weekend every weekend when we are there from April-October it is outside. I am floored by how well it is made, not a single hole or tear in it. The gray color is very nice and it stays surprisingly clean. One of our dogs when they were a puppy went potty on it and it cleaned so easily. It has stood up to a Rottweiler and nine pugs and yes they all like to sleep together. We bought the XL and the L but they all Like to pile together on the X-Large with their big brother. My husband even laid on it with our rotti and it didn’t break or bow or anything and he’s not a small guy. Way to go Amazon on this product, something that is not only reasonably priced but very well made!! I came back to order another for our home because the dogs seem to miss it when we leave camp. I actually have two of these one in an outside screened in porch area and the other is in our kitchen. It’s holding up great my dog is 70 lb. It’s nice that the air flows under it for the summer and in the winter I just put a big blanket underneath to keep a draft from coming. I do love that I can quickly move it and it’s easy to clean I wipe it down and it’s ready to go. It’s so lightweight you can move it around if you have to and I like that option. She hasn’t tried to chew it and that’s a bonus. I just throw a blanket on top to make it comfy for her because she loves having blankets.

It works great. Just a little annoyed that I ordered a medium based on the sizing description (my dog is a 60lb poodle) but it’s a little too small. I should have ordered the Large. It will still work, but ideally I would’ve gotten a large.

I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but this absolutely sucked putting together. I got one of the open box ones, and was missing directions I think. I eye balled it, seemed fairly easy to figure out and put together. Two people would definitely make it easier to assemble. I had to leverage it against my desk, and one side would come undone, then the other, then I realized I made a mistake, dropped a screw that got lost then found, and blah. Finally got it done after about 1/2 hour.
Using this for the cats with a blanket over it. House is old and drafty, and cold. They’re loving it, all dog piled up on it. I think for the dogs I’m just going to get a camping cot that folds up. I got the large, it’s a pretty decent sized. I’d say it would easily fit 2-3 medium to large size dogs. The material is like a thick mesh type material. It’s not soft. Can’t speak to if it’s chew proof or not but would definitely hose off and dry easily if need be. Overall happy with it, especially for the cheaper price compared to what they usually go for.
